The unrivalled reputation of a Tanzania safaris is well-justified. Probably, the only place where the impact of civilization on the natural environment is not yet noticeable, a journey to this African country will be an ideal vacation for all those, who want to explore the real power of the wilderness.
Tanzania Safari Parks and Wildlife
The status of Tanzania safari parks as a primary destination for wildlife explorers has been reflected in the expeditions of The National Geographic, The Discovery and The Animal Planet. Indeed, Northern Tanzanian parks are fantastic – Serengeti offers unique lion safaris and The Great Migration, Tarangire is famous for its fascinating elephant safaris, and Ngorongoro enjoys the reputation of a place with the highest density of wild animals. Lake Manyara with its flocks of pink flamingos and Mahali and Gombe parks with the largest population of chimpanzees are also must-have pieces to the collection of any avid traveler. Undoubtedly Tanzania is the best place for completing your full African wildlife safaris list.
ROCK EXPLORERS is always ready to turn your African dreams into reality. The fusion of technology and traditions of Tanzanian hospitality enables us to suit the fancies of everyone interested in Tanzania.
The best developed of Tanzania’s tourism routes is known as the northern circuit though it remains quite unspoilt by over-exploitation.
Here there’s a change the huge herds of wildebeest or flocks of brilliant pink flamingos emerging from the swirling mist of alkaline lakes, a sight, it is believed, that gave birth to the legand of the phoenix or the “fire bird”
The main base for exploring the Northern circuit is the pretty towns of Moshi & Arusha. The circuit include many of the country’s most famous national park, such us Serengeti, Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, as well as famous landmarks such as the Ngorongoro Crater, the Olduvai Gorge and the African’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro (The Roof of Africa.
Southern Tanzania safaris are less famous than those of the North and the Parks receive few visitors. Those on safari for the first time will probably prefer to visit the big names of N’gorongoro or Serengeti but the parks of the South are vast and beautiful and offer a more remote wildlife experience.
Whilst Moshi & Arusha is the logical point of departure for all Safaris in the North and all Parks are closely grouped together for Southern Tanzania Safaris, the Parks of the South are each separated one from the other by quite large distances and whilst the road situation is improving most connections are best made by small reasonably priced charter or scheduled flights which move between the parks. There is also a wonderful safari train link between Selous and Dar es Salaam .
The best point of departure in general is Dar es Salaam (The heaven of peace) but your safari in the South can also start with a flight connection from Nairobi , Arusha, Zanzibar or even Mafia island with directly daily connections to the Selous Game reserve.
We should be pleased to organize all your internal flight, road and train connections and build a tailor made package for you. There is no charge for our service and you will pay published rates for both accommodation and transport as regards to the respective company.
